JSFF would like to thank the selectors of the 8th JSFF were director Marko Grba Singh and co-founder of the Festival Jakša Nikodijević for their programme contribution, and the award decisionmakers: Miroslav Terzić (director), Mitsuko Nagai (director and film critic) and Ivan Ikić (director) for their professionalism.

Co-founder and director of JSFF for Serbia, Jovana Stević, expressed gratitude and satisfaction with the achievements:

"For the first time in eight years, JSFF had a five-day film program that was also the most comprehensive so far. Nine feature films and 32 short films were shown in the Yugoslav Cinematheque and the Hall of the Cultural Center of Belgrade. With the topic STATUS, we wanted to continue the dialogue between Serbia and Japan, which reveals the similarities and differences between these two cultures, and we are very happy that this communication was more active within this edition. There is a growing interaction between the director and the audience, as well as the audience's attitude towards the content. We thank everyone who made the entire program richer and more beautiful" - said Jovana Stević, referring to the accompanying program that completes the Festival every year - an exhibition of illustrated posters of Yugoslav films by Stevan Aleksić and posters of Japanese cult films from the Yugoslav Cinematheque.
