Association for the Development of Arts and Culture
We develop projects that bring together film, visual arts, music, cultural heritage, education and contemporary creative practice, connecting artists, institutions, businesses and audiences across borders.
From an initial idea and narrative to partnerships, production and public presentation, CULTCRAVE creates cultural projects designed to travel, connect and leave a lasting impact.
CULTCRAVE – Association for the Development of Arts and Culture was formally established in Belgrade in 2016, growing from the international cultural activity initiated through the Japanese-Serbian Film Festival (JSFF), founded in 2014.
JSFF remains CULTCRAVE's flagship international platform and one of its longest-running projects, creating a sustained cultural bridge between Serbia and Japan through film and wider artistic exchange.
Over time, CULTCRAVE has expanded beyond festival production into a multidisciplinary platform working across audiovisual production, cultural programming, international exchange, socially engaged art, education and large-scale international cultural projects.

What We Do
Cultural Production & Curation
We develop and produce cultural programmes ranging from film screenings and premieres to exhibitions, concerts, talks, workshops, masterclasses and participatory artistic projects.
Rather than treating disciplines separately, we create programmes in which film, music, visual culture and live experiences can become part of one wider narrative.
Film & Audiovisual Production
CULTCRAVE develops and produces short films, documentaries and long-form audiovisual projects.
Our production work ranges from socially engaged storytelling to internationally oriented documentary projects, with an emphasis on strong authorship, cultural relevance and long-term value.
International Cultural Exchange
International collaboration has been part of CULTCRAVE's identity from the beginning.
Through projects connecting Serbia with Japan and wider European and Asian cultural networks, we bring together artists, filmmakers, institutions, cultural organizations and creative industries to create new collaborations rather than simply present existing work.
EXPO & International Presentation
CULTCRAVE contributes to projects connected with national representation, EXPOs and international cultural platforms through cultural programming, research, storytelling, artistic concepts and audience engagement.
Our work includes projects related to Expo 2025 Osaka and the development of cultural and audiovisual projects connected with Expo 2027 Belgrade.
Education & Social Impact
We develop workshops, masterclasses and public programmes that connect established international professionals with emerging artists and audiences.
CULTCRAVE has also produced projects addressing underrepresented communities and social issues, using film and artistic practice as tools for visibility, dialogue and participation.

Partner With CULTCRAVE
We work with cultural institutions, embassies, filmmakers, artists, producers, foundations, brands, sponsors, international organizations and EXPO and pavilion teams looking to create projects with cultural depth and international relevance.
Whether the starting point is a film, a cultural programme, an exhibition, an international collaboration or an entirely new concept, we are interested in partnerships that create something meaningful rather than simply add another event to the calendar.
